KU - KUCSS Joint Cultural Program

An exchange program between Kathmandu University and students from 27 different Korean Universities was inaugurated on December 30, 2014. On the occasion of a joint cultural program held in the CV Raman Auditorium, His Excellency Mr. Choe Yong Jin, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, cheered both Korean and Nepali students for their efforts to extend the cooperation between the two countries.
Korea University Council for Social Service (KUCSS) and World Friend Korea have selected the students from the Korean Universities to perform volunteer activities in KU and the vicinity for 10 days.
The activities of the students will include the areas as diverse as art, music, sanitation, computer literacy, Korean and physical education, cultural exchange and effort service activities such as school wall painting, creating children’s playground and facility maintenance.
Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, the Vice Chancellor of KU, expressed happiness at seeing the students work hard for strengthening the relationship between the two countries. He also shared the belief that the cooperation between KU and Korean Universities could help create such an educational system that would help youths to grow and develop to have a secured future.
