Kick Off/Inception Meeting of the Environment Friendly Local Governance Program (EFLGP) successfully organized by DESE on 27th January 2015 in Main Campus, Dhulikhel .

Kick off/Inception Meeting of the EFLGP was held today dated the 26th January 2015 at the main campus of Kathmandu University in Dhulikhel. Meeting was attended by Mr Chakrapani Sharma,(Under-secretary from the Ministry of Federal Affairs & Local Development/Program Manager), Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan, Dr. Bed Mani Dahal, Dr. Rijan Bhakta Kayastha, Mr. Rajendra Bhandari, and Ms Anisha Tuladhar. Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma was also present on the occasion in the capacity of Focal Person of the overall EFLGP. Meeting unanimously appointed Dr. Jha as Co-ordinator of the program, and decided that an internal meeting of the faculty members from the Department of Environmental Science & Engineering will soon select two faculty members from the Department into the ‘Selection and Evaluation Committee’ for the position of Volunteer M& E Officers (Environmentalist) to be announced officially in Gorkhapatra, date of publication as 071/10/13. This five membered Committee will have two additional members respectively from Office of the Dean (1) and Office of the Controller of Examinations (1). This committee will develop standard format for CV of the candidate, selection criteria, syllabus, question papers, conduct entrance examination, evaluate and finalize the list of selected 14 candidates.

This Inception Meeting also finalized the last date for the submission of Application as 10th Feb 2015 electronically addressed to Focal Person emailed to desehod@ku.edu.np. The Entrance Examination to be held on 20 Feb 2015 from 8-9.30 am at KUSOM building, Balkumari, Lalitpur. Application Forms along with Syllabus for the preparation of Entrance Examination, Terms of Reference etc. will be made available/downloadable on Kathmandu University front page (www.ku.edu.np) effective from 28th January 2015.
