Department of Environmental Science and Engineering receives a research grant from Renewable Nepal Programme, the Programme is jointly managed by Kathmandu University (KU), Nepal, and SINTEF Energy Research (SEfAS), Norway, and it is funded by Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), for a year of 2013-2014 for conducting research project on “Enhancement of Poultry-litter-fed- Biogas Production System by Changing the Feedstock Composition and increasing the System Temperature for sustainable Electricity Generation”. To support and smoothly conduct the research, the project calls for application from enthusiastic and committed candidates to work as a Research Assistant. There are two positions available, one full time research assistant for one year and other full time research assistant for 8 months.   

Responsibilites:

• ·Design a biogas plant for poultry waste
• ·Collect primary, secondary data required for the research project and analyze the collected data
• ·Prepare research report under the guidance of the Project Leader
• ·Any other tasks assigned by the Project leader

Qualification:

Candidates should have at least a Bachelor degree in either Environmental Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Those who are waiting for their final semester result are also eligible to apply. In addition, the candidate must have good communication skills both in English and Nepali.

Appointment Term: August 01, 2013 –July 31, 2014
