Adhikary delivered key-note speech in international conference
Nirmala Mani Adhikary, Asst. Professor of Media Studies at the Dept. of Languages and Mass Communication, School of Arts, Kathmandu University, delivered a key-note speech on 'the sadharanikaran model of communication' in plenary session of an international conference organized by Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India on December 27-28, 2011. The theme of the conference was 'Diversity and plurality in media: Reflections of society'. The governor of Madhya Pradesh Ram Naresh Yadav inaugurated the conference. The plenary session was followed by various parallel sessions where various scholars from India and abroad presented research papers on different aspects of communication and media.
Meanwhile, Asst. Professor Adhikary also delivered lectures on the same topic in Gorakhpur, Jhansi, and Ujjain too. This is to note that 'the sadharanikaran model of communication' was constructed and presented by Nirmala Mani Adhikary in 2003 and the model is now incorporated in the curricula of different universities in the world.
