University participated in the Fourth South Asian Universities Youth Festival (SAUFEST) held in Panjab University, Chandigarh,
from 12 to 16 February 2009. A contingent of 21 persons led by Hem Raj
Kafle and Tirtha Raj Adhikary took part in Folk dance, Light Vocal,
Group Song, Fine Arts and Debate.
The Kathmandu University team was honoured with the titles Best in Folk Dance and Best in Discipline.
