Department of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Engineering, Kathmandu University was invited to participate in CAN SOFTECH-2013 held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, Nepal from 4^th September,2013 to 7^th September,2013. The department participated to display the semester projects of Computer Engineering and Computer Science students’. Altogether, eight projects were selected from 2^nd semester and 6^th semester projects. The four projects from sixth semester projects included two android applications- Automatic SMS Replier and KTM Taxi Meter, and two desktop based applications- Gesture Controls and Image Steganography. The other four projects from second semester projects included games such as Classroom Zombie Invasion, Coaster Points, Sudoku and Tic Tac Toe. The displays of Projects along with demonstrations were organized at two different stalls- A18 and A123.  Around fifteen hundred people willingly registered their email addresses wanting the applications for themselves. The sixth semester students have decided to make their projects free for all. Download links for these applications will soon be mailed to them as a payback for their seer generosity and willingness. Department of Computer Science and Engineering appreciate such active involvement of students at this event.
