Workshop on Culture of Inquiry

Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (DoEEE) organized a workshop on “Culture of Inquiry” on December 16 and 17, 2013.

The program commenced with the inaugural session in which Mr. Brijesh Adhikary, HoD, DoEEE, KUWelcome Speech & Program Details. The opening speech was presented by Prof. Dr. Bim Prasad Shrestha, Associate Dean (Research and other activity), and School of Engineering. After the inaugural session, first technical session started in which Dr. Narayan Kafle, Lecturer, School of Education, KU, presented speech on Meanings and Perspectives of Culture of inquiry in higher education. In the second technical session Dr. Bal Chandra Luitel, Associate Professor, School of Education, KU & M. ED. Program Coordinator, Presented speech on ‘Case of best practices and experiences from other parts of the world’. The program was hosted by Mr. Shailendra Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, DoEEE, KU.

The second day program commenced with the third technical session. In this session Dr. Luitel presented on ‘Reflection on Institutional and Social challenges for Implementing Culture of Inquiry’. The presentation was followed by Dr. Kafle, and Dr. Sudhamshu Dahal, Assistant Professor, SOE, KU. After the completion of technical session open floor discussion started. At the end of the program, concluding remarks were presented by Dr. Luitel, this was followed by distribution of the certificates of Appreciation to the experts by Prof. Dr. Shrestha. Vote of thanks was expressed by Mr. Brajesh Mishra, Convener of this workshop & Assistant professor of the DoEE. At the end of the program, closing speech was delivered by Prof. Dr. Shrestha. Mr. Subodh Ghimire, Assistant Professor, DoEEE, KU, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Jha, Assistant Professor, DoEEE, KU and Mr. Manoj Shakya, Assistant Professor, DoCSE, KU, were involved in this workshop as internal experts.

The workshop was funded by University Grants Commission. 

There was an enthusiastic participation form School of Engineering, School of Science and School of Education.

The program was jointly hosted by Mr. Madhav Prasad Pandey, Assistant Professor, DoEEE, KU and Mr. Shailendra Kumar Jha.
