Prof. Dr. Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha, Vice Chancellor, welcomed Rt. Hon'ble Vice President and briefed about the University. He explained that out of total 13,000 current students of the University, 10 percent are foreign students and 60 percent are studying under the Medical Sciences programs in its constituent and affiliated colleges across the country. The Vice Chancellor also stressed that around 60 percent medical employees in Nepal today are KU graduates.

Registrar Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, Director of Affiliation Affairs Prof. Dr. Sanjay Nath Khanal, Director of Student Welfare Prof. Dr. Kanhaiya Jha and other faculties of the University were present in the program.
