A study report, ‘A Survey of Nepali People (SNP) 2022’ has been released jointly by the Registrar of Kathmandu University Prof. Dr. Achyut Wagle, Her Excellency Ambassador of Australia Ms. Felicity Volk, Chargé d'Affaires of Swiss Embassy Ms. Silvana Hogg and Dean of School of Arts Ms. Ekku Maya Pun at Hotel Yak & Yeti on the 23rd of January, 2023. The SNP, which was firstly conducted in 2017, is being carried out under the overall leadership of Kathmandu University School of Arts and in collaboration with Interdisciplinary Analysts (IDA), and Subnational Governance Program since 2018. The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) also collaborated with us for the 4th version of the SNP, i.e. SNP 2022. The SNP, as a collection of public perception, collects opinions of 7,056 representative respondents aged 18 years and older, following a sample selection from 588 wards of seven provinces in Nepal. After the analysis of the data collected on public perception of the country's overall situation, security and conflict resolution, identity and social relations, participation in governance and politics, economic outlook, and access to information, KU is pleased to share the survey findings along with a brief report to the public.
