Mr. Prem Narayan Paudel, Lecturer at the Department of Chemical Science and Engineering, along with Mr. Balram Pokhrel and Mr. Babi Kumar Kafle, colleagues from the same Department, and Dr. Rajendra Gyawali, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmacy, got a research article published in the International Food Research Journal, 23(3): 1005-1011 (2016).
The paper is entitled “Analysis of heavy metals in some commercially important fishes of Kathmandu Valley, Nepal.”
This research work mainly focuses on quantification of heavy metal concentrations in the muscles tissues of nine commercial fish species available in the markets of Kathmandu Valley. The main purpose of the paper is to make people aware of the possible health risks associated with the consumption of such fish species.
