Dr. Gunjan Bisht Thapa, Assistant Professor of Department of Chemical Science and Engineering and Dr. Bhupal G. Shrestha of Department of Biotechnology, published a paper entitled “Enhanced preferential cytotoxicity through surface modification: synthesis, characterization and comparative in vitro evaluation of TritonX100 modified and unmodified zinc oxide nanoparticles in human breast cancer cell (MDAChemistry Central Journal ( (Springer, I.F. 2.19), doi: 10.1186/s13065-016-0162-3
The research article is based on the thesis project of B.Tech. final year students of Department of Biotechnology, Kathmandu University. This paper deals with the Synthesis, Characterization and Study the effect of surface altered ZnO nanoparticles by TritonX-100 on preferential cytotoxicity in cancer cell in vitro by comparing with innate preferential toxicity shown by unaltered ZnO nanoparticles.
