An interaction program with the Honorary Consul of Netherlands to Nepal Mr. Deepak Raj Sapkota was held on December 26, 2021, at Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel. The program was organized with an objective to strengthen relations with global higher educational/research institutions and to explore possible avenues of KU’s collaboration with research/academic institutions based in the Netherlands.
The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Registrar Prof. Dr. Subodh Sharma, the Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, Dean of the School of Engineering Prof. Dr. Manish Pokharel, Associate Dean of School of Science Dr. Bedmani Dahal, Associate Dean of School of Engineering Mr. Brijesh Adhikary, Associate Dean of School of Medical Sciences Prof. Dr. Manoj Humagain, Director of Research, Development and Innovation Prof. Dr. Deepak Prasad Subedi, Director of Coordination and Communication Division Prof. Dr. Bibhuti Ranjan Jha, Associate Director of Global Engagement Division Dr. Uddhab Pyakurel and other officials from Kathmandu University were present in the program.
The Honorary Consul shared his experiences in academia and focused on the necessity of integration of academia, industry knowledge and practical skills, whereas the Vice-Chancellor highlighted the importance of KU’s collaboration not only with the Netherlands based institutions but also with Karuna Foundation in its aim to establish child hospital in all seven provinces.
