Graduation Ceremony of MEEPE under NOMA Fellowship Program
The graduation ceremony of the 4th batch (2010-2012) of Master of Engineering in Electrical Power Engineering (MEEPE) under NOMA Fellowship Program was held on Friday, 29th June 2012 with the graceful presence of His Excellency the Norwegian Ambassador to Nepal, Mr. Alf Arne Ramslein as chief guest. Eleven graduates, 5 from Zambia and 6 from Nepal were conferred the graduation provisional certificates. There were four females among the eleven. Pramila Chaudhary, Manisha Malla, Nabina Pradhan, Daisydaria Muleya Michelo, Mathew M’Kandawire, Collins Mumba, Ezekiel Muyembe, Mabvuto Mwanza, Mandip Pokharel, Grishma Ojha and Mandip Luitel were the graduates who spent their first semester at Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway and the rest three at Kathmandu University. On this occasion, the Registrar of KU, Prof. Dr. Bhadraman Tuladhar welcomed the guests and the Program Coordinator Mr. Brijesh Adhikary highlighted the chronological details, achievements and future strategy for MEEPE. Professor Dr. Bhola Thapa, the Dean of School of Engineering congratulated the graduates and mentioned the success of KU in accomplishing the program with quality right on time. His Excellency Mr. Ramslien congratulated KU and all the graduates for the success completion of the program and wished for a better personal and academic life. He also reiterated the commitment of Norwegian Government for the support to the Nepali people even in all odd hours. Representing the graduates, Mr. Mathew M’Kandawire expressed his gratitude for the efficient management, quality education, and great social life at Kathmandu University. He also thanked NTNU and Norwegian government for their support and appealed for further support to Kathmandu University. Finally, the Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma concluded the ceremony with congratulations and highlights on the success of Kathmandu University, its goals and the role of the alumni in spreading the fame of the University with their contribution to the society they are working in.
