The 2016 World Wood Day theme "Nature and Culture" with purpose to raise awareness of wood as an eco-friendly renewable biomaterial and demonstrate the key role of wood in a sustainable future will begin on March 19th and conclude on March 25th. Nepal is chosen as the host country for the main celebration because of its diversity, both geographically and culturally. This international celebration will take place in Kathmandu - capital of Nepal which brings over 350 participants from over 100 countries worldwide. Events include Wood Design, Woodcraft, Wood Architecture, Folk Art Workshop, Symposium, Music Performance, Children Event and City tour.

International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is seeking the involvement of 50 volunteers from Kathmandu University for this mega event. Therefore, interest candidates are request to register via the following Google link within 14 March 2016.
